PHASE_PURPOSE:
Collect and preserve MESA stellar-evolution test-suite cases that provide
pre-boundary stellar support trajectories from pre-main sequence to core collapse.
These sources form the simulation backbone for the UNNS Substrate boundary-dynamics
candidate dataset.

UNNS_SCOPE_ALIGNMENT:
Phase A supplies controlled, reproducible stellar trajectories for studying:

- generative stellar support
- staged fusion-ladder evolution
- depletion-driven margin narrowing
- advanced burning near the iron-core boundary
- terminal support failure
- approach to core-collapse onset

This phase is not a general astronomy archive. It is a trajectory-ready source
set for studying admissibility-boundary approach in stellar systems.

UNNS_ROLE:
Primary lower-mass pre-boundary stellar support trajectory.
Provides staged evolution from pre-main sequence through depletion and advanced
burning to core collapse. Used to construct the first terminal fusion-ladder
trajectory for the boundary-dynamics corpus.

BOUNDARY-DYNAMICS_INTERPRETATION:
A1 represents a controlled stellar pathway in which a generative support ladder
progressively narrows toward a terminal collapse boundary.

A2 represents a higher-mass terminal fusion-ladder trajectory, useful for
comparing support-margin depletion and collapse-onset behavior against A1.

PHASE_A_COMPLETION_CRITERIA:
Phase A source acquisition is complete when the following folders exist:

- stellar_boundary_dynamics/A_mesa_precollapse_tracks/A2_20M_pre_ms_to_core_collapse/

and each folder contains its corresponding source note:

PHASE_A_OUTPUT_STATUS:
Source acquisition and archival only.
No canonical CSV files are expected until the MESA cases are run and LOGS outputs
are produced.

Any later edits for output columns or runtime control should be recorded as a
separate derived-work step.
